Olaplex is soon to be released in South Australia and we’re excited to announce that Yots Hair will be one of the first hairdressing salons in Adelaide to offer the service!

Olaplex at Yots Hair Salon

Olaplex  promises to make your hair stronger and healthier whilst prolonging your colour. Dubbed the Holy Grail of the colour industry, it’s a favourite of celebrity colourist Tracey Cunningham (whose clients include the Kardashians, Emily Blunt, Gwyneth Paltrow and Charlize Theron).

The Olaplex system works to repair and multiply your hair bonds to minimise the breakage and damage that can occur when you colour your hair. It involves a two step in-salon treatment service during your usual colour appointment and a post-appointment perfecting treatment that you take home to use each week. The products are free of silicones and oils and allow you to colour your hair more often, while maintaining its strength and integrity.

How to Wear: Messy Hair

As the temperature drops lower , it’s tempting to hit the snooze button in the morning and spend an extra ten minutes in bed. Well, now you can! Ditch your morning hair regimen because bed hair is back with a vengeance. We’ve got some tips and tricks to take your slept on tresses to the next level, in a minute or less. Image

For effortless sexy messy waves, spritz your hair with kevin.murphy hair.resort.spray as you walk out the door. This weightless texture spray smells like a day at the beach, enhances natural waves and adds instant volume. Spray it onto damp or dry hair, scrunch and voila! Image

If you wake up in the morning with a head full of frizz, don’t panic! Instead, massage some kevin.murphy easy.rider into damp or dry hair, to de-frizz and strengthen your hair. This anti-frizz creme will thicken fine hair, or soften thick hair and is packed with antioxidants and minerals to give your hair the boost it needs on a cold winters morning. Plus, it’s paraben free and contains green tea, biotin, patchouli and citrus peel oil for extra-goodness.

If all else fails and you’re out of time, chuck on a beanie and work it like you’re Jourdan Dunn.

What we’re loving this week

We’re saying hello to April and gearing up for another busy week at Yots. Here is a glimpse of what we’ve been talking about in the back room…

Elise Hélène photographed by Felix Wong for Mikhael Kale

We’re predicting that red is going to be huge this season and we’re absolutely smitten with this autumn shade.

Bedazzling our brushes and blowdryers

Any excuse to reach Barbie-status

Moroccanoil Hairspray

We’re absolutely obsessed with Moroccanoil luminous hairspray. It smells good enough to eat and is infused with argan oil. This lightweight hairspray is long-lasting, flexible and looks perfectly natural. Plus it leaves hair looking soft and shiny, without being sticky.  We can’t recommend it enough and it’s available in salon now.

The Yots Hair iPhone app

The new Yots Hair iPhone app is on its way! We were hoping to have it launched last week, but unfortunately we’ve had some unforeseen technical issues. Keep an eye out on our Twitter and Facebook to find out when the app will be available to download. The app will allow clients to book and track appointments, contact us, read reviews, check in to the salon and unlock products and packages. Plus it is integrated with our website, YotsBlog, YotsShop, Twitter and Facebook pages.
